FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2012

The International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) Malaysian Chapter’s 20th Malaysia Property Award presentation ceremony and gala dinner was held on 9 November 2012 at One World hotel in Kuala Lumpur. For the first time this year, the Malaysian Property Awards was given ISO 9002 certification propelling the award further in its prestige, ensuring that companies meet the highest professional standards.

Best Residential High Rise 2012

Out of the 6 property award categories for 2012, Tan & Tan Developments Berhad was awarded the best Residential High Rise property for U-Thant Residence, a low-density building of 77 luxury homes located in Kuala Lumpur’s exclusive embassy area. It has attracted a mixture of wealthy Malaysians and expatriate residents, including those who work in the surrounding embassies and oil and gas companies. This marks the second time the company has been awarded this prestigious accolade by FIABCI.

U-Thant Architecture

The architectural theme is inspired by modern, tropical, contemporary design and blended with an urban oasis of greenery. Three residential blocks enclose gardens, water features and a large infinity pool, and each apartment is designed to ensure maximum light and natural cross-ventilation. The design concept of U-Thant Residence was incorporated and launched before the introduction of the Green Building Index. It incorporates a range of criteria including energy and water efficiency and sustainable management.

Past Award

In the year 2002, the company was awarded the FIABCI Award of Distinction for Residential Development for its project, Sierramas. Sierramas is the first gated and guarded private community-based residential estate development in Malaysia. Tan & Tan Developments Berhad broke new grounds and proved to be an innovator and market leader in the property industry.
